Socks to go to my mom, frog first
The green socks were originally for me and were made for my large ankles, but they are so warm that my mom would appreciated them more than me. This means I have to rework them for her size, not mine. The bright socks at the bottom are for me and will continue to be, I am doing them toe up, in Knit Picks Felici on circular needles, size 2.25mm.

Those socks remind me of some I've seen... Maybe on Marguerite's blog? I bet they're fun to knit. You are very sweet to rework those for your mom.
