Getting to the heel on another sock
Here are the two Opal socks in the 2 color, Old Shale pattern. Next to them is another Opal sock in the Magic colorway, in green. What can I say, I love green.

progress on socks
A funny thing happened while I was working on a sock; I was knitting on the cuff of my Aran Twist sock by Deby Lake, when it occured to me to try a crochet chain to use as a basis for a toe up sock. It worked, but on the next sock I will chain about 10 stitches in stead of 8. I am not sure if I should take a picture of it or not; it is Tufootsies in a nice Easter colorway. There is also progress on my Fortissima 6 ply and I am now on the gusset, foot portion.

Japanese sock yarn
I am trying to figure which patterns will work with the yarn my husband brought back from Japan. They are wool and wool sock blend so I should be good for socks.

Less knitting, more frogging
I am becoming a ditz when it comes to dropping stitches; naturally I don't find that they dropped until the pattern looks all wonky. Then, it is rip it time. >>sounds of wailing<<
No pictures of this, thankfully.

Frogging again
I had been knitting on my 2 color old shale socks off and on for a year or so when I finally decided to try them on. Finally.
So, on the sock that is down to the foot and is tourniquet like, it will stay and go on the leg that is less swollen, the other I ripped inches back and changed to a size 2.75mm needle instead of the 2.25mm needles I was using. This ought to buy me some stretch.
Frogging, ugh, been doing that all week long.
